Training is awareness support, not emergency reporting
Child Protect provides training, awareness, and support materials. The portal is not an emergency service, child protection authority, legal advisor, medical provider, police reporting tool, or school safeguarding office. If a child is in immediate danger or there is an urgent safeguarding concern, contact the appropriate local emergency service, child protection service, school safeguarding contact, parent or guardian, or trusted authority right away.
Training content and responsible use
Training content is designed to build awareness, confidence, and practical understanding. It should be used as part of a broader safeguarding approach, not as the only source of action.
- Training content may explain online safety, personal safety, trusted adults, safe communication, child data, certificates, and getting help.
- Training should be completed carefully and not rushed only to obtain a certificate.
- Knowledge checks are designed to support learning and may not prove professional competence.
- Training does not authorize a person to act as a licensed child protection officer, counselor, investigator, medical provider, legal advisor, or government official.
- Schools and organizations should combine training with internal policies, designated safeguarding roles, supervision, reporting pathways, and professional support.
- Users should not rely on training content to ignore, delay, or avoid official reporting or emergency action when a child may be at risk.
Certificates and completion records
Certificates can help show that a learner completed assigned training, but they must be understood correctly.
What a certificate means
- The learner completed required training steps where certificate settings are enabled.
- The learner participated in safeguarding awareness training.
- The certificate may support school, organization, onboarding, refresher, or training records.
- The certificate can help learners show completion and confidence after training.
- The certificate may include learner name, course name, completion date, and platform details.

- It is not a professional license.
- It is not legal certification.
- It is not a child protection appointment.
- It does not guarantee legal compliance.
- It does not replace school policy, safeguarding procedure, official reporting, or emergency response.
- It does not prove that a person is qualified to investigate child protection concerns.
Child learner data and privacy responsibilities

- Only collect or provide child learner data that is needed for training, access, progress tracking, support, or completion records.
- Do not share child learner records with unauthorized people.
- Do not publish child learner information, screenshots, progress, or certificates without proper authority.

- Users should review the Privacy Policy and Child Data Notice for more information about data use and rights.

Safety concerns and user conduct

Take concerns seriously
If training raises a concern about a child or learner, users should follow the appropriate school, parent, guardian, organization, child protection, or emergency pathway.
Do not investigate without authority
Training users should not use the portal as authority to investigate, confront others, collect unnecessary details, or promise secrecy to a child.
Use responsible language
Do not use the portal or training content to shame, blame, threaten, harass, or target a child, family, staff member, learner, or organization.
Follow the correct pathway
When a safety issue may exist, use the correct reporting, support, escalation, or emergency process for the situation.

- Course prices, access periods, organization plans, and certificate availability may vary.
- Payments, invoices, refunds, renewals, and cancellations may be handled according to the applicable purchase terms or organization agreement.
- Organization access may depend on active agreement status, administrator setup, learner limits, payment status, or agreed training scope.
- Unused access, incomplete courses, or expired organization access may not automatically create a refund unless stated in the applicable terms.
- Billing and payment data should be handled according to the Privacy Policy and applicable financial record requirements.
Limitation of use and responsibility
Child Protect training is designed to support awareness and confidence. Users remain responsible for acting safely, legally, and according to their role.
No guarantee of outcome
Completing training or receiving a certificate does not guarantee that a child safety concern will be prevented, identified, reported, resolved, or legally handled correctly. Users, schools, and organizations must use training together with proper supervision, policies, reporting procedures, qualified advice, and appropriate authorities where needed.

We may restrict, suspend, or remove access when necessary to protect learners, child data, platform security, legal compliance, training integrity, or other users.
