What is the Child Protect Academy?
The Child Protect Academy is Child Protect’s own online education platform for child-safety training, developed in-house. It offers video lessons with a quiz to pass before the next lesson unlocks, step-by-step progress and digital certificates, in English and Thai, for students, parents, caregivers, trusted adults, school staff and organisations.
Who is the training for?
Students aged 7 to 17 in three age tracks (7 to 10, 11 to 13 and 14 to 17), parents and caregivers, trusted adults such as tutors, coaches and volunteers, school staff and leaders, and organisations that work with children, including childcare, youth programmes, sports clubs and NGOs.
Is the training free?
Free basic courses are the starting point. Two student courses are available now after signing in, and the full set of ten student courses in English and Thai is scheduled for launch. Organisation accounts, managed training and school-specific courses are priced separately.
Do learners receive a certificate?
Yes. A digital certificate is awarded on completing a course, and every completed course is saved to the member’s record. Certificates confirm completion; they are not an accreditation or a professional licence.
How does the Academy relate to the Child Protect Safeguarding Platform?
They are the two connected parts of Child Protect. The Academy teaches students, parents and staff how to stay safe and how to ask for help; the Safeguarding Platform at www.childprotect.co takes a concern inside a school from the first report to a documented response. Training records are kept separately from safeguarding cases.
